Make an Impact

One of the best investments you can make towards the successful future of our region is a gift to the Morgan Community College Foundation. Your gifts, combined with those of many others, make it possible for Morgan Community College to provide scholarships, enhance academic programs, and launch new initiatives for tens of thousands of deserving students.

There are multiple ways to donate to MCC from a simple pledge to planned giving. Leave your mark and support local students and the communities throughout the MCC service area.

Multiply Your Impact

The MCC Foundation has an exciting opportunity to receive $97,326 in matching funds through the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) on behalf of Elbert, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Morgan, Washington, and Yuma Counties. Go to the official COSI website to learn more.

Recipient Story

Meet Rosa, a 2019 MCC graduate who, while taking classes as a Burlington High School student, also earned three Associate Degrees, graduating from college before high school!

“My experience with MCC has really been amazing. I do not regret the decision to come here because everyone is so helpful. I liked the smaller classroom feel, and it sets up a foundation for post-secondary education.”

Gifts that make an impact after your lifetime:

Planned Giving

An increasingly popular form of providing support is through planned giving.  This takes many forms, including bequests, living trusts, and life insurance.  Please seek advice from your financial planner to explore this option.

Benefits:

  • Your donations are fully exempt from estate tax.
  • Current and possibility of future income tax deduction.
  • This will allow you to leave your family other assets that carry less tax liability.

Endowments

Endowments comprise a significant share of the scholarship and program support provided by the MCC Foundation. The scholarship can be in your name or a loved one’s name and can be designated to support a specific department. To guarantee that income from the endowment will always be sufficient to support the donor’s vision, a minimum support level of $25,000 has been established that can be paid over a five year period. The original principal is preserved, and only the return on investment (interest) up to a defined percentage is spent.

Benefit: It has the estate tax benefits of a gift, but your family keeps the property.
