The MCC Foundation is dedicated to our mission of securing financial resources for the growth and development of Morgan Community College and promoting a superior learning environment. We continue to do this year after year with great success.

MCC continues to lead the way in demonstrating excellence in all that it does. As the College continues to receive state and national recognition, the MCC Foundation is working diligently to support the efforts to help maintain this excellence. Our assets as a Foundation continue to grow which allows us to help support the College in rising to the next level. We are proud of this and are proud of the student success we help foster. Student success is our inspiration. Gifts made to the MCC Foundation provide a great way for our donors to participate with the College and directly impact our students, faculty, programs, and community outreach efforts. Morgan Community College is held in high regard by many across our service area, and it continues to touch many lives in a positive way. We at the Foundation take a lot of pride in our work to support MCC and are inspired every day to help build a positive future for our students.

2023 MCC Distinguished Donors Bill and Sammy Gramlich

Bill & Sammy Gramlich (2023)

Bill and Sammy are long-time residents of Morgan County. Bill was previously a member of the MCC Advisory Board and Sammy helped establish the MCC ADN program and served on the MCC Nursing Advisory Board. Sammy’s passion for nursing and Bill’s support led to the establishment of the Gramlich Nursing Scholarship. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are interested in MCC’s LPN and RN programs, which continue to produce skilled nurses to serve northeast Colorado. Since the establishment of the Gramlich scholarship, 47 students have received funding to achieve their dream of a career in nursing.

Bill & Billie Hinkhouse have been constant supporters of MCC and the Burlington Center for more than 30 years. They have worked to increase visibility of MCC in eastern Colorado and helped to create a Foundation board at the Burlington Center. Bill & Billie were active in the efforts to build the facility now known as the Burlington Community Center.

Bloedorn Foundation (2021)

MCC has been a fortunate recipient of the Bloedorn Foundation’s philanthropy. Their generosity has provided the college’s Fort Morgan downtown facility at 300 Main Street, Bloedorn Lecture Hall, health sciences computer labs, Cedar Hall, a center for Downtown Economic Support, and CACE Gallery of Fine Art. In addition, many students have benefitted from scholarships provided by the Bloedorn Foundation.

Goetz Family Foundation (2020)

In 2008, after retiring from Goetz Insurors, John W. Goetz and his daughter, Kathy (Goetz) Hoskins created the scholarship to honor his parents Louis and Lucyjon Goetz, which would offer opportunities for local students to receive an A.A. degree.

Dr. Jarry and Sue Schaefer & Family (2019)

Dr. Jarrold Schafer served on the MCC Foundation Board from 2008-2013 where he ended his tenure as President and then served on the Colorado Community College’s Foundation Board from May 2015 until his passing in 2017. Through the years, Jarry and Sue have supported the people of our community and especially MCC and will continue to do so as one of those rare gifts that keeps on giving by supporting a lifetime scholarship endowment.

A.F. Williams Family Foundation (2018)

In 1956, Dr. and Mrs. Albert Frederick Williams, not then having any living children, established a charitable family foundation. The Williams Family Foundation has donated generously through the years in order to provide scholarships for MCC students going into the healthcare field. They have given two endowed chairs to the foundation, one for the College’s Radiology Technology director, and one for the Bachelor of Science in nursing director. These endowed chairs fully fund the positions every year, giving the college and foundation the ability to give more student scholarships.

Dr. Donald F. and Janet R. Datteri (2017)

Dr. Robert F. Datteri was MCC’s second President and he and his wife have been lifetime supporters of the college. They currently have four lifetime giving endowments that help support the college’s vision and its students.
