Fort Morgan, CO 1/19/2021. Morgan Community College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) is beginning the new year with a painting exhibit featuring artist Christopher Nuernberger. The exhibit will launch January 21, 2021 at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art located at 300 Main Street, Fort Morgan and remain open through February 23, 2021.
Christopher Nuernberger is a Colorado artist who brings to life the landscapes found in nature and the creative recesses of his mind using oil paints. Nuernberger believes his paintings to be a broad reflection of the simplified spaces created by nature. His work is a representation of the relationship one has with the beauty in nature.
“Painting creates an escape that gives me pure freedom to get lost in the places my mind takes me,” stated Christopher Nuernberger. “Inspiration is all around us, we just need to take the time to see it.”
Nuernberger’s unique style of painting, the use of a palette knife as his only tool, allows the ability to provide a rough impression of the moments he strives to capture. He also works as a Creative Director by day for a large consultancy located worldwide.
The opening of this exhibit will coincide with the “Third Thursday Art Walk” in downtown Fort Morgan beginning at 4:00 p.m. on January 21.
“The Gallery will remain open until 7:00pm that evening, allowing visitors to have extra time to visit and chat with the artist,” said Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator. “This is a great opportunity to visit with an artist who has not previously shown his work in this area.”
MCC CACE offers many free enrichment opportunities throughout the year. To learn more about the Reflections in Nature Painting Exhibit, CACE, or future events, please visit www.morgancc.edu/CACE or call Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator, at 970-542-3180.
