Fort Morgan, CO. 12/3/2021. Morgan Community College (MCC) congratulates Mindy Albert of Brush, Colorado for submitting the winning image for the college’s annual calendar photo contest.
MCC calendars featuring local photos were first published by the college in 1995. The 2022 winning photograph, “Celebrating America,” depicts a firework display over the homestead of Steve and Mindy Albert. The home was built on Bell Hill in 1896 and served as the first land overseer’s residence. The photo will be featured on the 2022 calendar and will be available for free at all MCC campus locations and the MCC Foundation office, 300 Main Street, Fort Morgan, beginning December 3, 2021.
“The committee reviewed over 70 photos for this year’s contest,” stated Ariella Gonzales-Vondy, MCC Director of Communications, Marketing and Recruitment. “The photos, all representing northeast Colorado, were stunning! The committee was once again challenged with selecting just one photo for the college’s calendar.”
