Morgan Community College (MCC) Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) will present the annual Western Art Show at the Brush Rodeo July 2-4, 2023. The exhibit will be held in the Mark Arndt Event Center at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, located at 750 Ellsworth Street in Brush. The art show will be open July 2 and 3 from 3 PM – 7 PM and on July 4 from 1 PM – 7 PM.
CACE welcomes twenty participating artists to this year’s show. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional western-themed art pieces will be featured. Artists may be available during the exhibit to discuss artistic techniques, and most of the artwork will be available for purchase.
“The Western Art Show is a wonderful partnership between the MCC Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) and the Brush Rodeo Association,” said Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator. “We are pleased to continue this collaboration and celebrate western art and rodeo traditions.”
The 2022 People’s Choice art selection, a captivating metal print of “Colt” by Zach Chapman, will be up for auction during the Art Show, with all proceeds benefiting the Brush Rodeo Foundation Scholarship. The print is also featured on the rodeo program cover and the official Brush Rodeo poster.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Hubbard Feeds, the art show will also feature monetary awards for the People’s Choice artist and three more juried art awards, adding an extra level of excitement and recognition for participating artists.
The multi-artist exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information about the Western Art Show, contact Suzanna Spears at (970) 542-3180 or [email protected]. Additional information about CACE is available at www.morgancc.edu./CACE.
