Disqualifying Offenses: See CCCS Healthcare Programs Disqualifying Criminal Offences
Criteria for selection (competitive, point-based):
- Cumulative Grade Point Average for RN nursing course work (see handbook)
- Residence in MCC, NJC, LCC, CNCC or OC service area for minimum of 6 months
- Graduate of MCC, NJC, LCC, CNCC or OC AAS nursing program
- Previously qualified applicant not admitted
STEP 1:
Apply to MCC
If you are new to MCC you need to create an account. If you previously attended MCC you should be able to use your previous login information.

- Click “Create New Application” in the “My Applications” section (view screenshot).
STEP 2:
Complete Application
Follow the steps to start an application. Under the ACADEMIC PLANS section, choose the following (view screenshot):
- Identify the semester you wish to start.
- What is your current goal for community college – Select “Earn a degree to enter the workforce”
- Select a degree or certificate – Select “Bachelor of Science in Nursing”.
- What campus do you want to attend – Select “MCC Online Campus”.
STEP 3:
Supplemental Items
Log back into your account and select “Complete the required supplemental items” (view screenshot).
- Upload a copy of your nursing license.
- Upload all of your unofficial transcripts.
- Request an official transcript to be sent from your previous schools to the MCC Registrar Office.

RN to BSN Student Information & Outcomes
Program Outcomes
By the end of the program, the students will achieve the following:
- >70% of the students will complete their program within 100% of the projected program length each academic year.
- >80% of graduates will rate average or above average 9 months after graduation for their preparation to carry out the role of the Baccalaureate Nurse on their graduate/alumni survey.
- > 80% of graduates surveyed will have employment as an RN within nine months of graduation.

Interpret research to employ best practice and use data to monitor the outcomes of care processes. Propose an evaluation process to continuously improve the quality and safety of health care systems and deliver quality care to individuals, and diverse populations.

Formulate a plan that demonstrates an enhanced commitment to professionalism embracing excellence, caring, legal and ethical practice, civility, accountability, and professional development.
Communication
Evaluate communication and collaboration with colleagues, interprofessional groups and members of the community to promote health, safety, and well-being across the lifespan and across the continuum of healthcare environment.

Evaluate the contribution of leadership, quality improvement principles, and impact of organizational systems in transforming, managing, and coordinating safe, quality, cost effective, person-centered care.
Critical Thinking/Clinical Reasoning
Integrate a systematic process of critical inquiry with nursing science, natural and behavioral sciences, arts and humanities to make evidence-based practice decisions to improve the care of individuals, families, populations, and communities.
