Morgan Community College (MCC) will hold a Salute to Veterans event on November 11, 2024, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Veterans Plaza on the MCC Fort Morgan campus, 920 Barlow Road. This ceremony, honoring veterans, will include remarks from MCC President Dr. Curt Freed, alongside guest speakers Preston Klimper, a U.S. Army Veteran and VFW Post 2551 Sponsor, and Markoe Hansen, a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Joe Bowman, U.S. Army Veteran and MCC’s Concurrent Enrollment Director, will conclude the ceremony by performing a rendition of Taps.
Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to a reception in the Founders Room for chili and cinnamon rolls, provided with support from Drovers Restaurant and the MCC Roadrunner Café. This event is open to the public. MCC invites community members to join in recognizing veterans’ service and sacrifice.
