Earn a Financial Education Microcredential at No Cost to You!
The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges and the National Endowment for Financial Education have partnered to offer the Financial Education Microcredential to Morgan Community College students and staff, free of charge. This program offers an opportunity to build knowledge in a topic that everyone encounters throughout life—money management. The self-paced, online program is divided into eight courses focused on these topics:
Banking
Budgeting
Credit
Earning
Insurance
Investing
Saving
Spending
This no-cost financial education includes these additional benefits:
- A financial incentive from the Credit Union of Colorado.
- Qualification to take the Intuit Personal Finance certification exam, based on the Council for Economic Education (CEE) and JumpStart national financial education standards.
- Eligibility for Prior Learning Assessment. Students can apply to the Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) program at 13 community colleges in Colorado. CPL provides academic credit toward an associate degree or certificate.
- Workforce preparedness for careers in banking and personal finance.
