MCC to Offer Inspirational Interior Design Workshop

Fort Morgan, CO 9/4/2020. Morgan Community College (MCC) will be offering an Inspirational Interior Design workshop for individuals interested in learning tips for home decor using their own unique style. The workshop will be held in MCC’s Bloedorn Lecture Hall, located at 920 Barlow Road in Fort Morgan, on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. The cost of the workshop is $25. Participants can register online at MorganCC.edu/event/inspirational-interior-design (link now inactive); seating is limited to 28 attendees.

This two-hour workshop, led by local entrepreneur and radio personality Michelle Staley, will feature instruction about vision boards, staging steps, and decorating techniques for Do-It-Yourself (DIY) home projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to win a style session with Staley.

Michelle Staley is a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Art, where she earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising.  She also participated in Arapahoe Community College’s Interior Design program. Staley has been recognized by major retailers and design authorities such as Pier One, Ross, and Barn Home Living for her expertise in home design. Her interior designs and layouts can be found on her Facebook page, Eclectic Home Decorista.

“After being home-bound due to the pandemic the past few months, people are finding joy in updating their homes,” stated Sandy Schneider-Engle, MCC’s Director of Community/Business Development and the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce.   “Michelle’s expertise in using vibrant colors and textures will help you learn to define your own decorating style, making your home your own little spot of inspiration.”

Attendees will be expected to wear masks during the event and practice safe social distancing.
