High school seniors, get your tuition paid for through the TREP Program

The Teacher Recruitment Education and Preparation (TREP) program creates the opportunity for qualified students in an educator career pathway at MCC to concurrently enroll in MCC courses and earn college credit at no tuition costs to them or their families, for up to two years after the 12th grade year.

Students in the TREP program will postpone their high school graduation for up to two years in order to attend MCC and complete their educator career pathway. During that time, their high school will receive funding to pay for their tuition at MCC. When they complete the program, they will receive their high-school diploma and any certificates or degrees earned at MCC.

General Requirements:

  • Must be a high school senior
  • By/during senior year, students must complete one course from an educator pathway at MCC
  • Depending on the school district, students might be required to pay for textbooks, fees, and transportation
  • Visit the TREP Program website or your high school counselor for a full list of requirements

Students & Parents: please check with your high school counselor for specific information regarding how your school district administers the TREP Program.

MCC graduate Jessica Edington

I’m so thankful that MCC had a way for me to get my teaching degree. By starting the first two years here and finishing at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), I was able to save a ton of money on tuition and travel/living costs while still fulfilling my dream of being a teacher at the middle/high school (secondary) level. I felt very prepared when I transferred to the university and was offered several scholarships because of my success at MCC.
